1275 miles of Pure heaven in 60hours, The “Fabulous Five” Jim D, Robert VB, Harold, John Z and Myself.
We started out Early Friday Morning, It was raining! We all meet at Dunkin in Roslyn and Synchronized our Headsets and off we went! First Stop was Hamburg Pa, then to Maryland for a Quick Bite to eat and refuel and off we went, ( no rain ) down to Exit 222 in Va to the Sleep Inn is where are our first night would be.
Had a amazing Dinner from a local eatery, the ribs and chicken was excellent. Next Day Saturday we had a amazing day in The area surrounding Stauton Va as we made our way down toward Floyd Va.( no rain ) we did 250 miles on some very technical roads and then the Blue Ridge Pkywy, OMG, my first time on that road, my face hurt from smiling all day!!
We spent the night at Floyd Va at the Oak Haven Lodge, very nice people there, great restaurant directly across the way as well, ( no Rain ), we had fun, we Talked, we Laughed, we Ate, we Drank, We then got some rest.
Sunday morning we left at 710am and started our way back, 575 miles, we made 3 stops, made it back to Long Island approx 530-600pm , ( no rain ).
I want to thank each of you for the great time I Had, John Z who lead us through most of trip along with Rob, Jimmy with his Leadership and technical expertise, and then there is Harold, he just made us laugh ! We had a Blast! Ohh by the Way, NO RAIN!! Can’t wait for the next Trip!
